I hate this semester. I am getting owned so hard in math and I don't do anything about it because I never have time to study. I don't want grad schools to see my fall grades because I don't think they will be that impressive. Fuck.

got my physics gre scores this morning. did worse than i expected, but i did have really high expectations. too high to be honest. i kind of feel bad, but i also feel that it doesn't matter. i will still apply to the same schools i was originally going to apply to. i think i still have a shot at getting into some of those schools (like the safeties). no point in crying about this. just have to keep working hard and doing what i love.

units

i don't really understand how classes are assigned a number of units. sometimes a class is 4 units and there is almost no effort required, and there are other classes that require an obscene amount of time/effort and they're only 2 or 3 units. this makes the unit minimum (13) pointless. the reason there exists a minimum number of units we're required to take to be considered a full-time student is because the units should somehow reflect the amount of time we are spending at school, and so taking 13 units means that we are working full-time on our classes. but if i want to take a 3 unit lab class (16 hours of lab time per week, plus working at home) and two 4 unit technical classes (hard), that's only 11 units but it's without a doubt a full time schedule. why can't i just request to be considered full-time with that schedule. now i have to search for filler classes that i won't care about and just take pass/fail, meaning i will spend about 2 hours for the entire semester on the class. end of rant.

Lately, I find myself listening to music that I listened to when I was a freshman in high school. Bands like New Found Glory, Fenix Tx, Midtown, Coheed and Cambria, and the like. I guess they're super popular now, but I remember they used to be really obscure and I felt very cool for being one of the few "cool kids" who listened to them. I guess I still have that attitude now, but much less so because I don't even really listen to music anymore, let alone go to shows. I still haven't showered.
